Trip to Washington DC

We went to visit my mom and dad who are Mission Presidents in the Washington DC South Mission for Christmas. We were there just over 3 weeks! My girls counted down the days to see grandma and papa for a couple of months. They were use to seeing them a few times a week before they left in June for their mission. I flew with Bailey, Payton, and Romney; Taylor was on another flight with Cannon and Grandma Joyce. They did great on the flight! Cannon was the hardest, he is 2 and full of energy, but he tried his hardest to stay in one little seat for 5 hours! As you will see from the next few posts we did alot of things while in DC! We did the tourist thing and saw many sights, and we did the mission thing and went to zone conference, transfers, baptisms.... We played in the leaves the first few days, then it snowed and we played in the snow. But the best part of all was just being with my parents. They are so incredibly busy but they made sure they spent time with us everyday! They took alot of time out of their schedule to make sure we had a wonderful time! Thanks for such a wonderful and memorable trip!

We got to the airport 2 hours early and then our flight was delayed an hour! The girls were pacing the floors.

On the first day they collected bags of acorns. Good thing, a couple days later the snow covered them up!
