Christmas Party at the Capitol Building
The Christmas party for the mission was AMAZING! It was held it on Capital Hill in the Cannon Caucus Room, which is the hardest room on the hill to get. It was such an incredible experience to see 160 missionaries walking into the Capital Building in the middle of a work day. All 10 LDS Congressmen-3 Senators and 7 Congressmen came and gave a Christmas message! A chuch magazine, The Meridian, did their coverstory on it in December: www.ldsmag.com/churchupdate/091228remarkable.html . They had beautiful musical numbers, a delicious meal, and then Santa and Mrs. Clause came. We also took a tour of the Capitol Building. What a once in a lifetime experience!
