Bailey and Payton got rats for Christmas! We thought about hamsters or mice but my mom and the pet store told us the same thing- hamsters and mice do not like to be held and fight with eachother but rats love to be held, are super friendly, and if they get out of their cage they will come to you instead of hiding. They were right! The girls saw the rats, picked them right up and held them for about 12 hours straight on Christmas! The rats will climb from the girls shoulder to shoulder, sit on their lap while they watch tv, or just let them play with them all day! Bailey named hers Scabbers after the rat in Harry Potter and Payton named hers Nibbles.
