Today was the first day of school. It was so sad to see summer come to an end and to have both of my girls go to school all day. But I was also very excited because now I can spend some time with just my boys during the day.
Bailey started 2nd grade! She was so excited she couldn't sleep. She came down to our room 2 times during the night and couldn't go back to sleep. This is her fourth year at Cumorah Academy; she went to pre-K, kindergarten, 1st, and now 2nd. We love Cumorah and the wonderful staff!
Payton was trying to be excited but was very scared to start kindergarten. Yesterday she kept saying she was excited to have lunch and recess with Bailey. (Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd have lunch and recess together.) Then when she woke up this morning she didn't want to go. At one point when we were at flag ceremony she had herself wrapped around my leg and wouldn't let go. I just wanted to take her home with me but eventually she let go when I promised to go with her to class for a little while.
When I picked them up I asked each of them what the best part of the day was. They both told me having lunch with their sister! I am so grateful they are such wonderful friends!

they are so stinkin cute! I love that you can see each of thier emotions so clearly on thier face. and i love when bailey is talking and that girl is shushing her.
